Best place to sit on plane with your dog?

I hope this isn't a silly question but we're getting ready to book our flight to San Francisco. DH will have a pup, and I'll have one. Where is the most inconspicuous but comfortable place to sit? Aisle? Window? Front or back? After everything I've read, we want to keep a very low profile (especially with two!) icon_whistling icon_whistling

I'd guess very back is least conspicuous and also might give you the chance to take the pup out for a stretch if the flight attendants say it is OK.

If there's just you I'd take an aisle seat.
