Fixed picture size! Great Cavalier Get-Together!

Just got back from the Minnesota Cavalier Get-Together. What a great time everyone had! I've never seen so many human and doggie smiling faces in one place. Amazing how there can be so many dogs in one place and not so much as a growl from anyone. And so many wagging tails; if we could just find a way to connect a generator to those tails we would have unlimitted electricity

There was a program on grooming for the pet Cavalier (thank you Penny), a program on Therapy Dogs (thank you Kim), and a professional photographer (thank you Diane). In between the programs were lots and lots of socializing ond dog kisses. And, finally, a big thanks to Pet Junction for letting us use their facility.

Play Date

Looked like a great day Bruce. I can't wait to put a playdate together in Nebraska. How did you notify cavalier owners regarding the date?

I haven't heard anything from Penny, but here is what I know. It started as all word of mouth. It was basically breeders in this area spreading the word by e-mail, phone, whatever. And, of course, I posted on this and the other board. At both this and the last gathering, we also had a sign-in sheet so we could contact people for the next gathering and these people could also spread the word. If you are trying to organize something in your area, you might try contacting some of the local breeders and see if they are interested and if they could contact some of their past puppy buyers.

I'll let you know if I hear of any other ways that people are contacted.

That looks like such fun! I like the idea of the grooming tips and the photo opportunity.
