King is @ a perfect weight 18lbs....my vet told me he could even gain a few more cuz he's got some excess skin to grow into...i think King is @ his perfect weight...he gets 2/3rds cup mixed wit a lil NBL food roll once a day...breakfast is just a 1/3 cup of dried mixed fruit/veggies (carrots, bananas, apples, peas, peppers, beets, plus some cheerios) plus we try to get in a walk daily 1/2-1mi...we try not always a success (work gets in the way) but we always have time 4 each!!

    Default Cheerios!

I found a suggestion at http://www.i-love-cavaliers.com/Dog_Treats.html to use Cheerios (the breakfast cereal) for dog treats. They are certainly tiny enough not to add to any dog's weight problem!

I also like the Paul Newman's brand dog treats. They aren't quite as tiny as Cheerios, but they are indeed small little morsels. And one is enough!

I have been using cheerios for my boys and it is working very well on them
