The current (August) issue of the UK's Dogs Today magazine has an article by the well known vet Dr Bruce Fogle on syringomyelia in the breed (he wrote the Dorling Kindersley Dog Encyclopedia amongst other things and his son was the BBC presenter at Crufts this year).
