Pictures of my TWO new puppies.

Well, the hunt for a dog ended at the start of June. We went for a Cavalier and a Cocker Spaniel. Have been very busy since, socializing them and toilet-training them.

Me too Sarah when we were first looking for a Cavalier we almost gave up and got a Cocker instead, then Maxx came along

They are both so cute!!! I love em!!

They get on very well and are the same age. The Cavalier is brighter than the Cocker, even though Cavaliers are generally ranked lower than Cockers in the IQ stakes. However, the Cocker has a funnier personality. They sit down when asked to (most of the time) and give the paw. We put treats in a sports bag, zip up the bag except for a 4-inch gap, and encourage the dogs to go "hunting" within. It's so comical to see the ensuing frantic scramble, with their little bottoms sticking out of the sports bag and then they eventually make their way into the bag. They come out looking so smug.

Our Cavalier was some yapper at the start. She yapped constantly in order to get her own way. We tried ignoring her, with some success, but eventually got her an anti-barking collar which resolved the problem. Now she yaps within reason.
