Dublin area people

Would Dublin area folks be interested in setting up a cavalier-only class with Dog Training Ireland, say a clicker training class? We could also do some things I think are good for cavaliers... like talking through training methods for dealing with separation anxiety, the 'leave it' command for our little furry food hoovers, using a harness for walks, etc... maybe an intro to agility as one session too. They will do classes for a group and it would be fun to do something with cavaliers only. Part of the purpose would be to have a regular cavalier socialising session too...

We would need about 8 people probably.

that sounds like a good idea, mams not here at the moment but il say it to her when she comes home, we are in drogheda so we could get the train to dublin as far as i know they allow small animals on trains do you know anything about this???

We are going to place "Molly" on a training Course, the one with "Dog Training Ireland. I presume we would need the basic training before this one you are talking about or would basic training be covered.

It would be kind of a mixed class I think and could be done while another class was happening but most likely this would happen in late autumn or winter. I need to talk about it with tara and Lisa; it's just an idea but on their website they do say they will ttailor a class and I thought this might be fun.

You can bring dogs on the train -- if the crate is smallish you can often take them in the passenger car. I have taken both mine in the larger of thre two Argos plastic crates sold in the catalogue. If the neighbouring set is empty they can go on the floor next to you. The conductors have always been really friendly about the dogs.

Count me in Karlin. Still haven't organised a training class myself for her, but would love to wait for this. Holly's 9 months old now.

That sounds lilke so much fun! I think someone should organize a big cavy picnic for all Cavaliertalk members in Ireland...would be a fabulous excuse to knit a green hiking sweater for Finn and hike in the Irish countryside! Everytime I see all of your pics I am jealous
