Hi there, :D

We are very excitedly expecting our new arrival on Sunday. :drivecar: We were just wondering if anybody could advise us on the following 2 things:

1. Most importantly toilet training! We are planning to crate train this little one after a disasterous time trying to paper train our last cavalier. Any words of wisdom as I find books say the same thing but people who have experienced it usually have valuable tips to give!
2. My husband is planning to make a pen. What dimensions should he be going for?

We are going to call our girl Rio (just back from there!) and I have a pic of her when she was newly born... 8) :D :) :D :D

Congratulations!

On housetraining: order Shirlee Kalstone's book on housetraining a dog in seven days. Amazon in the UK will have it.

And read these (they will download so you can print them out):

When you say making a pen, do you mean a portable exercise pen? These are easy to buy over the net (several UK sites have them) or `an old children's playpen could be used. That is about the right size.

For example see: http://www.thedoginn.com/dog_pens/

Hi Cecily,
