    Default So much $$$ spent on the kids??

    Ok how many ppl spend more $$$ on their cavaliers then they do on their selves...well I'm one, King has more stuff then practically any1 in the family... My friends and family ask me "Why don't u treat urself to something nice?" Well sometimes when I want something I need to save up a lot more $$$ cuz I've already spent it on King...

    Very True, Very True. The dogs even have their own cabinet filled with dog treats. I wouldn't want them to run out of treats. God Forbide!

    As one parent of humans that just finished putting one daughter thru private college and is on the second year for child number 2--- What I send on my dogs is a pittance (and we are a multi dog household-- lol).

    Oh Sandy you got me going this morning! I actually had to webster the word "pittance!" hehe

    After putting the kids through college money spent on dogs would most definately be a "pittance!" hehe take care of yourself and thanks for making me learn a new word!

    I hear you. Who said you can't buy love ?

    In a big way the boys get more money spent on them than I. They do have a few health issues which takes up a lot of cash but I also love indulging them where possible.

    I wish I looked after my own health as well as I look after theirs too. I am always making sure they are well exercised and perfect weight, good nutritrion, regular trips to the specialist and the like, meanwhile I weigh at least double what I should, put off going to the Dr when I am sick and my idea of therapy is a trip down the confectionary isle in the supermarket.

    It seems like just about everyday to everyother day I'm bringing something home for King whether its a new treat, dog food can to try..a new toy or something..I really spoil this kid and he knows it.. plus working in a pet store doesn't help cuz I have more access then any1 pretty much

    Can anyone go to the petstore to buy dog food and walk out with only dog food??!!! I get in trouble every time. And then those dang catalogues come with so many cute and fun things. And the more you buy the lower the shipping...so I just keep buying

    Yes so true! I am very strict with the dogs -- at the moment I have started walking an elderly neighbour's dogs and he keeps 'paying' me with boxes of dog biscuits that he insists I take. So I am ending up with boxes of biscuits they will never get through or they'd be huge! I cant say no though as it is important to him to 'pay' me someway so I just politely accept. Meanwhile I will happily help myself to some ice cream...

    Its a darn good thing that I don't have any human children because I would be absolutely BROKE the way I splurge on my canine babies. They have more clothes than my fiancee and enough toys to last a life time. One thing that I absolutely love is that Old Navy now carries really great dog clothes, collars, toys and blankets. They are really inexpensive compared to chain pet stores and the items are great quality. I got the cutest bat wings for my boys for halloween from there.

    I knew I had a problem with my spending priorities when my husband and I went into Ralph Lauren Polo and instead of looking at the ladies' section I looked at their polos for dogs.

    If Cupcake weren't so adorable I wouldn't have this issue! *giggles*
