    Default Carpet prevents hair growth?

    Someone told me that carpet stunts hair growth in dogs. Has anyone else heard this?

    Haven't heard it myself but indoor dogs tend to shed all year round instead of twice a year if they were outside so maybe that's something to do with it ?

    That's news to me...King lays on the carpet and his hair grows no matter what....as far as shedding he sheds a lil through out the yr, but big twice a yr

    The only thing I can think of is if they are lying on the carpet, it may rub a little and break/put hairs off with the fibre - Woody's harness did this.
