I'm Devastated

After much debate and deliberation over what type of harness to purchase for my boys, that they will not be able to get out of (see also my post - harness help) I go online with girth measurements in hand (theirs not mine thank god) and find out that the sensation harness company does not ship to Australia. OMG :x :x :x
This country is sooooo far behind in things, we are only just starting to see puppia stuff in the shops.

I want to cry but instead I'll go and eat chocolate and then I'll be too fat to walk the dogs anyway. Sensible approach (not) !

Anyway now I have finished my idiotic vent, do any of you know of any other online stores that sell the sensation harness or have any of you ever had one shipped to England ? I have family there and can maybe get one shipped there ? and then on to here ?

Although that sounds really expensive for something I'm not even sure will work ? Maybe off to pet shop again to look for an alternative.

Any help or calming techniques appreciated :flwr:

Chocolates are not my downfall its wine..... and chinese and currys and kebabs :yikes

Well Well, after all my ranting it turns out I was going off half cock (story of my life) I emailed the company who makes the harness and they said if I fax my order rather than purchase online they will ship to Aus. WOOO HOOO :D

Thanks so much for your support and offers of help it is very kind and I really appreciate it.

Now I just hope it works.

Your seeing Puppia stuff in the stores? where? And whats the website that you found? Sorry, its nice to speak to another Aussie who knows our country is very backwards in coming forward.

I am in Western australia so don't know if that will make a diference to you but....
Puppia harnesses found in city farmers. Do you have them where you are?

and it was the sensation harness website although I have gone for a halti harness instead as can get that locally.

I totally understand about how far behind things can be here. I have seen one Puppia item in a specialty store in a tiny craft town near Maitland and that is the only thing I have seen. I asked at Petbarn about stairs for the bed but got nowhere until they were advertised in the Innovations magazine. It is really sad when you hear of all of these great things that the overseas people can get :( . Not everyone wants to buy online. I guess things can only improve.

AND THE PLOT THICKENS

Took the boys to the park today decked out in their new harnesses (halti).

Well Digby spotted a cat and before he even had time to change his body language to tell me something was about to happen he was off in hot pursuit or so he thought, in a way yes the harness did his job, he remained in it (just) but some how went up in the air doing something like a triple mid air flip and landed very bedazzled on his back. Needless to say the cat got away but oh lord I thought he was going to have a snapped something, he did not yelp but I can't imagine it would do his body any good which is the whole reason (that and control) why I went on the new harness mission.
I feel like I have let my babies down so much by allowing their behaviour to get to this stage, I know it is no excuse but I really did not know the first thing about socialisation or importance of training until now, I have never had a pet before let alone a precious precious (emotionally blackmailing) Cavalier that I want to protect from everything.
I know training training training but I am, have and failed and failed.

I will not give up however, just wanted to moan and feel sorry for myself.
