Barkleigh (who will be 4. 5 months old) is going to fly from Florida to California for Thanksgiving. Due to various airline changes, we have a better deal and shorter travel time.
The flight leaves at 7:00 AM and arrives in Los Angeles at 9:30 AM for a total of 5.5 hours in the air. He is very well trained to wee-wee pads and sleeps through the night for at least 8-9 hours without a problem.
We then have a 2 hour drive to our destination, including getting a rental car. And we had a 2 hour drive to the airport in the morning.
What are the recommendations for feeding and watering on this journey?
I was planning on a little water upon wakening--and maybe a biscuit. Then nothing for the whole flight except sips of water from a squeeze bottle (he loves this) or ice cubes, and possibly another biscuit if he is antsy at the end of the flight. Then feeding him dry kibble in the car and stopping about 20 minutes after that for a good walk.
Or suggestions?
