The Little ruby found at dump

Hi folks, this is the wee Ruby found a couple of weeks ago at the dump at Navan. He arrived today with to us courtsey of Karlin :drivecar:
and will stay until we are sure what exactly will happen with him. It's only been a couple of hours but he's a lovely little dog and so far there have been no issues with my two dogs, Sally a really old springer and Max our 1 1/2 year old Tri. Max did bark at Rory (as he's temporary called) but that settled down very quickly when we took the two younger dogs out for a quick stroll around the neighbourhood. I think Rory is a wee bit tired tho and bless him he probably doesn't know what's going on just yet. :lpy:

Ohhh, he is SOOOO sweet. How anyone could ever do anything so awful to him just astounds me. I just don't understand how people's brains work that way.

But the good thing is he is in a safe and loving home now. Thank you for taking him in. :flwr:

Reality check...there are such bigger issues then my worrying about kennelling my dogs....

Bless you for helping..

Good for you. I was booked to foster him. And i'm thinking of him a lot because of know of his situation. I'm really glad to know he's okay.

A big thanks to Brid and Sannie and Lisa who quickly offered help for this guy (hope I am not forgetting anyone!). The lovely man who rescued him turns out to be a safari guide from Zimbabwe who specialises in working with crocodiles! And now offers accupuncture outside of Trim. Really, really nice guy who has looked after him very well -- sores are healing, putting weight on so he's about the right weight now, and had him groomed so he's nice and clean. He does something with recylcing or site management or something which is why he was out working on the Navan dump site.

He's a nice solid boy; we thought he was neutered but it turns out his goolies are still in there -- undescended! He is a man of many mysteries.
:)

He looks a lovely solid boy and from the picture quite healthy too, How could anyone do that to him????? :x
At least he's being cared for now ;)

Im so glad that something wonderful can come out of this horrific situation Rory is a doll and its a total shock to me that someone could throw him away I wish him all the best in finding the home he deserves

He's such a sweet looking, adorable boy! So glad his nightmare is over - bless you for taking him in. I love his name, too. :flwr:

Oh gosh he is so sweet and such a beautiful dog, I'm so happy to hear that he is safe and in such a great place now! I am so glad that there are so many caring people out there to help dogs like him.

The more I learn about the things people do to dogs, the more disillusioned I become. :(

Thank goodness for everyone who came to Rory's rescue. His life will be better from now on.

he is so sweet looking..aww the poor mite! how could anyone leave him at a dumP! heartless people... so glad he's in good hands now..and the worst is over..Sannie you are so kind to take him in..bless you (and Brid and Lisa).

Hope everything turns out well :flwr:

Glad Rory is in a safe place...... are we talking about Rory's googlies or the man who found him.....

He looks amazing! His coat looks really nice and thick and he certainly doesn't look underfed now...

That man at the dump is an angel and I hope he has been given many, many thanks and hugs for taking care of the sweet little boy. What a wonderful man.

It's very sad though because this little guy was someone's much loved pet. Even after such a short time it's very obvious that someone loved him. After all thats happened to him and we really don't know what his cirmcumstances were before he was found trapped in a hole on a dump this little guy is so full of love and affection - and he has tons of it to give.
He walks beautifully and so proud on a lead, he definitely knows what a bed is for (cavaliers of course)! and he's used to cats. He has some basic commands, like sit etc and so far is great around other dogs.
He loves already to sit on the chair beside the window and watch the world going by, a cavalier trait I think as Max does the very same thing.
He's lovely but I have to say I'm very saddened by the fact that perhaps someone has lost him and so far his owners havn't been traced.

I'd would die if something like this happened to Max - it just reinforced the fact that dogs really should be microchipped and personal details should be updated as circumstances change - it would save so much heartache.

Thanks folks for all your kind comments. I know all of you would do the same if you could :flwr:

Rory looks like a sweetie and Sannie I am so glad he is with you and safe. Hope he finds a forever home soon.
