Default Benny is in his forever home!!!

Benny went to his forever home Saturday. A beautiful family not far from us who instantly fell in love with him. Especially the daughter; I have never seen anything like the look in her eyes when she called him and Benny immediately hopped up into her lap! And that is not an exageration! We heard from the family today and they said they are happy beyond words.

And some people ask why we do rescue in addition to everything else!

How wonderful! It makes all the difference in the world to the dogs and their new families that you foster while they wait for their forever home. Good job!

Great news. There's something about matching the right older dog to the right child that is especially rewarding.

Shivers and tears, Bruce. In four lines of prose you said it all - I sometimes wonder who is being rescued - the dogs or us. Congratulations on finding such a special home for Benny. And aren't you the clever one to make sure Benny will be close enough to visit!?!
