Eye Troubles-UPDATED AFTER RECHECK

Fortunately, there is a veterinary opthamologist in town...I had no idea a town this small would have one. I will certainly be looking into taking him there after talking with our vet on Friday.

Other than that, we live about 3 hours south of one of the best vet schools around, Auburn University, and we are both alums of the university (giving us access to all kinds of phone numbers). If need be we will go there. Believe me we will take all the right steps in treating this.

The great thing is, I love our vet - she is not just our vet but a personal friend before we had dogs - Arthur is in great hands.

That's really good to hear Ashley. I didn't think for one minute that you would let arthur suffer but some people are afraid to ask their vets to refer them to specialists and lots of vets just will not offer, unfortunately :(

Hopefully your vet/friend understands your concern for your puppy and will be helpful in getting you an appt with the opthamologist and getting your referral together. Sounds like the best thing to do at this point.

Go you War (blank) Eagle!! I've always liked Auburn - of course, I've worked with a whole lot of vets from there. One of my favorite drs left KY several years ago to teach at their vet school and I've lost him now. Would love to talk to him again.

Get your baby a little pair of sunglasses to wear so the sun doesn't bother his eyes. Hope everything is okay soon.
