My puppy bailey seems to scratch using her right leg a lot. While she is playing she will stop and scratch at her face/body for 10-15 seconds. Once or twice I've seen her do it and its just like she's thumping at the floor. She also seems to yelp sometimes (not when shes scratching) for no reason. Does it sound to you like she could have SM? I'm really worried about her :(

Rory started showing symptoms of SM around 16 weeks, but he wasn't scratching until a year and a half. He was whipping around like something had bit him.

but in a 16 week old puppy, it'd be a good idea to rule out fleas, etc. Also could be the collar bothering her.
