How do I put in emoticons?

I feel really stupid, but in the old board, they were right on the left side of the screen and I just grabbed them. On the new board, I only see the ones that show up on the topic line, not the ones that go into the message.

Can someone help me with this? Is it something I need to specifiy in my profile or something? I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious here!

First go into your User CP and into Edit Options and towards the very end, change your editor to WYSIWIG. That will make them automatically show up -- some are on the right, and there's a drop down smilie menu too. I am trying to see if I can reorder them and manage them better to make them easier to see.
