I've been looking forward to having you start this -- thanks for all the work and thought that I know you've put into it so far.

Yes, thanks so much!! This ought to be very insightful and educational. I've always felt it is the puppy buyers who are going to change the fate of SM--by only purchasing pups from breeders who are scanning their breeding stock; and this forum is a great way to educate everyone on how important this whole process is.

Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I know this is very frightening to be going through.

This is going to be very interesting to follow.

Many thanks for sharing this journey with us. It will be highly educational for most of us & I certainly feel priviledged to be able to share in it.

I am really interested in what you are doing and will be following your journey. I've had one cavalier that had MVD, I lost her at age 11, and one that has a heart murmur (shes nearly 8 but having no symptoms as yet). I spent a long time researching breeders when I was looking for my next cavvie, and was very mindful of the health problems, but had not heard of SM until I came across this forum. It has been quite eye opening and enlightening to learn about these issues.
    Good luck for the 12th!

Cathryn! A very good friend of mine is a Cavalier breeder, and she has taken this journey as well - for our beloved CKCS breed. We're with you all the way.
