Laura, Samwise is adorable. Did you name him after the Lord of the Rings hobbit? I have 2 cavaliers named after hobbits too.

Thanks! Yes I named him after my favourite loyal hobbit from my favourite movie. Pippin was also on my list of cute possible names, though he is such a Sammy to me now that I can't imagine him being anything else.

I'm actually originally from Northern Ireland, but my mother's Finnish and I've been living here in Finland for almost ten years now. It is a beautiful country - although it was probably very muddy in April when you visited, with all the snow melting. Even after going out for a 5 minute pee break, Sam was always covered in mud up to his neck when we came home. LOTS of showers needed!
