When ever an animal comes on the tube, be it a horse, elephant or dog, Mr. McFarlie runs to the TV set and barks until (a while) after the scene changes and the animal is "all gone".

oh yes - certain films we can't watch anymore such as "cats and dogs" LOL
They definitely recognise an animal on the television - fortunately now we only have one taht barks at the screen and she only reacts to dogs.

Harvey also does this but he barks the most when Ross Kemp (English Actor) comes on tv, don't know why he barks at him obviously something he doesn't like.

Our Blenheim used to go mad when there were animals on TV couldnt watch vets programmes or wildlife films, even the credits for Emmerdale ( British Soap) sent him bonkers!

Oh yeah, our dog, Dudley, growls at the t.v. He seems especially sensitive to horses and bears.
