since Heidi was spayed, and she's healing nicely, how long does she need to wear the cone for??

If you're a past member of the board, but can't recall your password any more, you don't need to set up a new account (unless you wish to). As long as you recall your old login name, you can log in with that user name then select 'forgot password' and the board will email you at your registration email, to let you reset your password.

I had Poppy and Daisy spayed last Nov and Rosie is due this July ,Pops would not entertain the collar at all while poor Daisy kept it on for one sleepless (for her and me) night only and whilst i was worried stiff all the posts on the forum told me recovery is quick and of course they were right the girls were back up to speed within 72 hours.
