Online listings of breeders can be useful, but should always be used with caution -- they are simply a listing service with absolutely no guarantee about the quality of the breeder or whether they breed for health.

They tend to get a mix of good breeders and less-good breeders so all the usual warnings apply!

The best way to find a breeder is to use a range of resources -- contacting the breed club, attending shows, using a listing like this -- then talk in detail to the breeder and ask for cardiologist heart certs on parents (AND grandparents ideally), be sure their breeding dogs are actually of age to comply with the MVD protocol, and so on. There is detailed advice on finding a breeder in the Library section. :) There are no shortcuts, it always takes time and research, and generally good breeders will have a waiting list. (y)
