Weepy Eyes

Finn's eyes are always weepy and it smells bad. Is this due to a food allergy or what makes them so bad. They get pretty gunky. I bought special towelettes to clean them. They have been this way since we got him.

I would take him to the vets. It sounds like an infection or yeast. Hopefully the vet will give you something to clear it up.

Our India had smelly eyes and tears long ago, and the vet gave us prescription eye drops. After the smelliness went away, we cleaned her eyes with human lubricating eye drops daily and blotted her tears with Kleenex daily.

This year our veterinary dermatologist told us she thought India has food allergies that caused yeast in her ears and on her face and paws. Our vet prescribed an antifungal, and we completely changed her diet. She cannot have chicken, grains, or potato in her food. Right now she is eating a Venison/Millet kibble, and she can also eat lamb or rabbit as long as there is no grain.
