Amberella (Lurcher)

We got Amberella as a ten week old puppy. She was from an "accidental" litter and when the puppies were eight weeks old, the breeder gave them away to all the local children. The people who ended up with our lovely girl kept her for two weeks, then decided they didn't want a "big dog"
She was originally believed to be a German Shepherd cross, which was what we wanted. She has matured to be a much smaller dog than expected and not German Shepherd at all: we believe she is a whippet x staffie! It doesn't matter to us - we love her regardless, and have since researched both breeds for possible health risks.

She's now almost fourteen months old, and one of the friendliest dogs I have ever owned. She is so sociable and well-socialised that she believes all dogs and people are just as friendly, and she wants to love everyone... which can be a bit of a problem when people and dogs don't want to be loved. Luckily, she has excellent recall!

Twelve weeks old... expanding her palate (it was a frozen bit of broccoli that had escaped from the freezer!)

My boyfriend has some pictures between nine months and now which I need to have a dig around for. :snap: Hope the photos aren't too huge!

What a beauty! I can definatly see the Whippet, staffy/whippet mix looks like a good guess to me - I'm a sucker for sighthounds, purebred or lurcher!

Oh she's beautiful and she looks full of fun playing with her friend Sam, he's gorgeous too :lotsaluv:

Love that brindle colouring. Miss daisy on the board has what is likely a staffie x greyhound lurcher and they can be around the size Amberella seems to be, so that's another option.
