• If you're a past member of the board, but can't recall your password any more, you don't need to set up a new account (unless you wish to). As long as you recall your old login name, you can log in with that user name then select 'forgot password' and the board will email you at your registration email, to let you reset your password.

Question about "eye licking"

Help!

I love absolutely everything about my Lucy, but she has this habit of licking my eyes. Not my face, neck, anywhere else-just my eyes. She doesn't do this to anyone else.
Has anyone heard of this? Why does she do this?

I can't advise on the eye licking, but our Cleo loves to lick ears! Unless someone else comes in with real advice, perhaps it's just her way of letting you know she loves you??
 
Can't help on the human eye licking but Pippin licks both my other dogs eyes. He will lick my eyes too but then does the rest of my face too!
 
I would guess eyes are kinda salty tasting due to salty tears. Maybe Lucy needs more sodium in her diet? Just a wild guess. She might just have a thing for eyes.
 
something I read elsewhere is that it is a nurturing "thing", so perhaps she is just "mothering" you!
 
hmm....could be. I think it's so weird that she doesn't do it to anyone but me. Maybe I have an abundance of salt (lol)
