Please help with pictures

I am new to the board and trying to include pictures of Charlie in the "Introduce Yourself" thread. I have uploaded his image to Flickr, and I can get the URL from Flickr. When I try to edit my original post to add the picture, though, nothing shows up. I have tried using the mountain icon and pasting in the URL when it requests it, and I have tried typing [img]the URL and [/img]. Nothing shows up either way. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

When you're on flickr and have decided what pic you want, choose what size you want (i think medium is best). Then scroll down and you'll see :-
2. Grab the photos url . You highlight the link below and right click and choose copy, then go to introduce yourself thread on here do a new thread click, do [IMG] mountain icon [IMG], click on the mountain icon then right click and paste preview post to see if pic is there, then submit post.

When you click the mountain icon a window will pop up say :-
Please enter the URL of your image.
I type in flickr so its like http://flickr then click ok.

It should be like [IMG]your url[/IMG]

preview post and if your pic is there submit reply.
