Harley had his first walk today. It started well; I think he even really enjoyed himself. My two girls kept an eye on him. All the dogs we bumped into were a lot bigger then him and he was a brave little man and even went up to sniff them, until on the way back we came across a girl with a big 5 month old Alsatian. He was taking her for a walk and it was clear she couldn’t handle the dog. He was very eager to meet my three. The girls weren’t bothered by him but poor little Harley was so scared. I wasn’t sure what to do, I didn’t want to pick him up as this might become a habit, so I just walked on and my Husband followed with the girls. When I got into the car he sat on my lap and cried all the way back to the House. He calmed down when we got back home. Tomorrow I will just walk him round the block. I hope this has not given him such a bad experience that he will hate to go for walks now. I never experienced anything like this with my other dogs.
