What does hash & no mean?

Just wondering what the hash and number means at the top of our posts?

You posted first so your post is #1, I posted 2nd so mine is #2 and so on

the hash sign is an abbreviatiion for the word 'number'. Post are numbered so you know the order in which they were made and can refer back to them.
