Saw my first black & white Cavalier in person today...

I was driving and spotted a Cavalier, so I pulled down the road to say hello. I got up there and started questioning myself whether it was or wasn't: it was black & white, with absolutely no tan.

I asked, and yes it is a Cavalier. It looked more like a Chin when I got close. Interesting, though! I rarely see Cavaliers where I am, so this was a treat in itself.

Was the black & white cavalier that you saw approximately within the 13-18 lb standard size for cavaliers?

I saw a black & white cavalier a few years ago at the Ohio state university vet school. He was a big boy and had the lovely cavalier temperament. His breeder is/was in Mississippi, according to his owners.

I would guess he was around 20 pounds. He had a longer snout (more like my poor-bred Ollie) but from a distance he was obvious Cavalier until I saw the coloring. His head was a bit more domed like a Chin or a Charlie.
