Tristan graduates from puppy class

Tristan is almost six months old and last week he graduated from his eight-week puppy class. :) He did very well and learned sit, down, wait, stay, come, leave it, drop it and roll. Whoo! Now, I admit he doesn't always obey each command every time, but he's gets better every day. In the fall I'll enroll him in the intermediate class and hope to pass the Canine Good Citizen next Spring.

Here's his graduation picture...

Love the hat!!! We had hats in a class I took a dog through, 29 years ago. Made for great photos. ;)

Congrats to Tristan (and you too!) Rudy and I did the puppy class too. You had much better success than we did. The whole exposure to other puppies was much more than we could handle. Working at home with him (using the techniques we learned in 'school') got the results. And we learned how important socialization is too...that's a work in progress. Good job!!!
:w**h**:

well done to you both! lovely photograph!:D

i take all three of mine to training, though we have had a bit of a break this past couple of weeks.
i think the ongoing socialisation is one of the most important things for all dogs.

Thanks so much! The class was great for socialization and he made friends with a pair of beagle puppies who were also tricolors - it was so cute! I can't believe he's six months old, already...where does the time go??

Congratulations to both of you!:rah: Go for the intermediate class and soon you will have a therapy trained cavalier(y)
