Way to go Sins!

Merlin and Oakleys Mum (Merlin -Male/B&T/5 years, Oakley - Male/Ruby/3.5years)
bless him. he looks so much better with the love and attention you are giving him. well done. i hope he continues to thrive & his forever home is just around the corner.

Wow he is coming along so quickly and this is wonderful work, Sins -- Tara is very confident he will be pretty much a normal happy cavalier before too long. He is learning people do all sorts of nice things for him and he will be feeling so much better -- clean now and with his pain addressed.
While this is not a dog for a home with kids, he should be a very rewarding dog for an adult or teen kids family -- ideally with at least one other dog for him to socialise with.
Just for comparison: Ryan's (RJMac) Megan, who came from me and Tara, was nearly this aggressive at the start -- I could not touch her and had to 'decant' her from one crate into another when doing transport. Tara a saw a dog with a lot of fear and no innate temperament problems and look at her now -- she is a sweetie of a dog living with a young boy who dotes on her, and two other dogs.
Dogs like this deserve a chance -- this was one of those few dogs that comes in where you have to make a fast judgement call on whether it is kinder to PTS an unhomeable dog that is very, very unhappy, or to treat the medical issues and trust that the issues are addressable. I talked to both Sins and her vet to decide what to do with Bailey, and talked to Tara for a pro's view. There are some VERY hard decisions to make for anyone doing rescue. I am so glad that my gut feeling and that of Sins, the vet and Tara have paid off for Bailey and he is finding out what it means to be a NORMAL dog with a NORMAL life right now. Thanks also to Friends of Ben rescue who initially contacted me about this dog.
Please PM me or email me through the board if you wish to find out more about Bailey and think you have the right home for this little man.

I've created a separate thread for this little guy, and updated his profile on the first post.

It's weird as I was talking to my Mum about this little guy only today and there has been a bit of me that has thought "if only I lived closer"
