I just found the Trupanion Health Insurance (offered by Petco here). They cover congenital, and genetic disorders, specialists, medication, and surgeries. The policy offers $20,000 for the life of the pet (total, no annual/per condition/whatever limit), and no increase in premium because of your pet's age.

It's costs a few dollars a month more than Petplan, but I would feel so much better about giving them money. Has anyone had any experience with them?

I need to call and make sure there aren't any breed specific exclusions (MVD in cavaliers).
