First dogs ready to scan! Help kick off our first donation drive

That's great! You can mark it as whatever you like. :) If you don't remember to put in a note that it is for 'Rupert's Fund.' on the PayPal page when you send the money, be sure to drop Penny an email at the same address just so she knows. She is doing a running total.

We are now over 500 POUNDS!!! :jmp:

That puts us close to scanning THREE dogs and starting to fundraise towards FOUR. :thnku:

Let's work to double that cash amount!

Cavalier Pet Owners have always been so generous when it comes to raising money for the health of our dogs.

Wow, this is fantastic! I'm looking for ways to scrimp up a second donation - this is very motivating to read these results. :D

I'm wondering if it's possible to set up a standing order - hmm maybe something we need to look into.

If people are prepared to commit to pay a small amount on a regular basis - even if it's a few pounds - that would be fantastic. Maybe we can forgo a treat like a cake or sweeties or even chocolate!! and send the money instead {would help the dieters amongst us too!!}

Small amounts soon add up

Love the idea of regular monthly payments - always helps to spread things out a bit! Looking forward to reading if this will be possible. Meanwhile will send a one-off to help get to 4 dogs.:dogwlk:

Oh sure -- people can paypal whenever they like, or send a small cheque etc. As a once off, or now and then, or regularly.

This is a project that has a lifetime of probably this year only, as this is the ultra-important tail-end scanning for the detail work of the genome project. I know researchers believe this will be completed by the end of the year.

The first big date for us is a scan day on March 25th. If we can do dogs on this day we can save money by getting them in on a low cost group day. If we can reach 10, the discount works out to one dog scanned for free plus a bit more.

So anything that can be done to raise funds or contribute -- no matter how small! -- before that date, the more dogs we can get in! cl*p
