Cornell, where Dr Curtis Dewey (one of the pioneers of the titanium mesh surgery) is based, is to offer a low cost MRI scan programme. The programme in particular is targeting dogs that owners believe may have SM so that owners can get an early diagnosis and have as many options as possible for treatment.

The total cost for anesthesia, MRI and CT scanning will be $800.00. There won't be any discounts for the surgical procedure and associated costs.
