Could I take the Liberty of mentioning with all the problems about the MRI SCANS at the moment ,that there is an equally Serious Health Problem afflicting our Cherished Cavalier Breed,their MVD Problem.

I am NOT saying either SM or MVD is the more serious Health Problem for Cavaliers, both are dreadful Diseases, but with what is happening just now about the MRI Scans, are we certain that the Heart Testing for Cavaliers has no flaws in the Examinations for the MVD Problem.

Maybe he and/or Jeff Sampson might even mention something about the Proposed BVA/KC Scheme for Hearts and I also noticed Tom Lewis and Sarah Blott. LEST WE FORGET

Eddy,

For a Number of years I have Plagued those folk mentioned,yes even Dr N Olby, all except Dr VOLK,with my questions about the Cavalier's Health Problems, they were all very kind and replied to my Queries, this is how I am able to pass on any information I get to other concerned Cavalier Pet Owners.

I won't be able to go to any of the Meetings, don't keep too fit,and I live in Scotland, some folk will say, thank goodness for that!!!!!

Poor Dr J Sampson has had to bear the Brunt of my Questions.

As I have said so often ,that the Cavalier MVD Problem has just not improved for years, same as it was 18 years ago,their SM Problem now seems to be hitting obstacles,I just don't know what the answer is to give a good number of Cavaliers Healthier ,Longer Lives.

Does it just boil down to ,get a Cavalier , and keep your fingers crossed that your 4 Legged Cavalier Friend will be able to have as Healthy and Long Life as Possible,even when the Faulty Genes for MVD and SM are discovered ,will many of the Cavalier Breeders want to use the Information.

If the Cavalier MVD Problem is any-thing to go on , as has been shown in the Kennel Club's recently Published Cavalier Breed Supplement,the UK CKCS CLUB'S Recommended Breeding Guidelines are not being followed even by some CKCS Club Members,have some Cavalier Breeders a Death Wish for our Cherished Cavalier Breed, .
