Thanks for this, and the other Video about our Cavaliers which can also be seen on this link .

On the other Video, mention is made about the Cavaliers' MVD Problem, where it was stated that Cavaliers are 20 Times more likely to suffer from MVD than any other Breed.

When you see the Video of the Cavaliers Playing and Running about enjoying themselves, you have to wonder what have they done to deserve being Afflicted with this MVD Problem.

The blame must be put at the door of Cavalier Breeders who since the 1940's have known about this Disease in our Cavalier Breed.

Who in the 1950's were using Cavalier Dogs at Stud who were suffering from a Heart Condition.

That in 1983 Dr P.Darke the UK CKCS Club's Cardiologist, did Surveys at CKCS Club Shows and was dismayed to discover how wide-spread the MVD Problem was in the Cavalier Breed.

As a Result of his findings ,the CKCS Club issued MVD Breeding Guidelines in 1987,,

Well, we all know the result of those Breeding Guidelines.!!!

At the UK CKCS Club's AGM last year ,the Cardiologist said in his Lecture , that 50% of Cavaliers ,WILL have a Heart Murmur at 5 years of age, that this no better than it was 18 years ago.

Surely our Beloved Cavaliers deserve better than this.
