Saving Gracie and recent puppy mill rescues in the US

I got this book that I am so excited to read by Carol Bradley called "Saving Gracie". It is about the world of puppy mills and the rescue of a Cavalier King Charles. I think it is going to be a great book and it made me start looking at how many Cavalier puppy mills there are in the US. Especially with the recent news of the puppies dying from flying recently. The dogs shipped and who knows where they came from. I know there are so many great breeders and to think that our precious cavaliers are kept in cages to be breed over and over again. It breaks my heart. I was curious what happens when the SPCA rescues the Cavaliers. Do they contact Cavalierrescue? I am not involved in that process but it has become something I would like to know more about.

I found two cases recently where Cavaliers were rescued from puppy mills in the US. It is so sad. Did anyone see this http://www.kjrh.com/dpp/news/local_...ed-from-mistreatment-at-dog-breeding-facility

Also this one had Cavaliers along with several other breeds. http://www.longislandpress.com/2010/08/10/animal-league-to-put-puppy-mill-dogs-up-for-adoption/

I know most everyone has known about these things but it brings up a point that probably should not be talked about on forum. I am just so sad at how these dogs were treated. :cry*ing:
