I have insurance on Cooper as I got it when he was only a year old. With our older Yorki the insurance was very expensive to get. Also with Nina as she was 7 when I got her.
So what I have done, is set up a special saving account named doggie OK. I put away at least $100.00 per month in it to be used for the two dogs medical expense. With the insurance of Cooper I have $500.00 deductible, I would use the savings the same way.

Shelter dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human, we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. Do not pity a shelter dog. Adopt one.
