a BMW but couldn't spare the money to chip their dog
Yes so true! But people always think it isn;t an issue. Then don;t even put a collar and tags, as they are LEGALLY required to do, on their dogs either...

I also think irish vets charge *ridiculous* prices for chipping -- on average around €45 in Dublin! Chips cost just a few euro. Why vets cannot chip for €10 is beyond me.

    Hi Guys,

Apologies for not being on line yesterday. I had to visit my parents and their web access is down at the moment. The dogs had a great time, my parents live beside Lough Ree so plenty of fun was had all around.
The woman from Donaghmede never contacted me. I do however have great news, a lady from Crumlin contacted me this morning and described the dog perfectly, she has also had the issue up on her face book profile and was able to show me a photo of Charlie. Apparently he was one of the dogs, which was documented in last years puppy farm TV programme. The dogs name is Charlie and her little boy aged four let him out of the house on Monday , her poor little boy has been distraught. After getting the ring around from one very strange lady who claimed to have found him Nicola, the owner came down to my house this am to collect him - fantastic excitement all around.
Of course I asked her to put a contact number on his collar and get him chipped.

Thanks for all your help guys. I don't know how I would cope if it happened to Maggie. This really is a fantastic service you provide.

    Best regards,
    Órla

GREAT job Órla! That will be one happy family, and also so important to have mentioned a chip and tags. Can I put you in charge of southside Cavalier Rescue?

    Hi

    Glad he is safely home.

    Karlin,

There is always a bed in our house for a dog that needs it.

    Thanks for all your support.

That's great news. I remember the dog from the tv programme. The poor little boy, I'm glad they have been reunited.
