Great news. It's nice when our laws are helpful.
Wonderful news! I was just walking around NYC today doing some Christmas window shopping and got so upset and angry walking past the "pet shops" with puppies in the window. I went inside one that is particularly popular and saw a little ruby girl for sale for $3k. I wanted to cry and scream at the same time; thinking about that puppy's parents at the puppy mill and then about how this is contibuting to the cavalier's health problemsI try and tell everyone that listens to me (I can get a bit soap boxy) to please not buy a dog from a pet store. Either go to a good breeder or rescue a dog. However people just don't get it and are looking at the cute puppy in the window and not thinking about it's past or it's future

How they can charge as much as a dog from a good breeder for a puppy who is just lucky not to have to spend its life in the squalor it came from is terrible. The profit these puppy mills make is horrifying, and to do it at the expense of living things. But people just see those little puppies at the store, and don't think at all....a little ruby girl for sale for $3k...
Its a sick game, all of the money does not always go to the breeder, its a "ring" of people. They have brookers, the pet store gets a part of the money ect
