A warning about frozen ponds or You will hate me for this one
This was taken on Christmas Day 2000, the pond is 6" deep and it happened in seconds and yes I kept on filming.
Toby had crossed the bridge hundreds of times and really hated water, I did not expect him to step on the ice at all, had the water been deeper I would have been straight in after him without hesitation, a warning to all about not keeping dogs on leads near frozen stretches of water, however it did not do him any harm, he lived for over another eight years to the age of 14 years 3 months.
