Tomorrow Mooby is going in for her myringotomy in both ears.
I am a bit confused though because the neurologist found the problem in both ears via the MRI that also diagnosed the SM and COMS. The neuro then referred me to a dermatologist in the practice. I met with the derm and she said that a myringotomy was the route to go. That's what I figured would happen BUT what I wasn't expecting is that the derm vet told me she went to Ohio State and a doctor she worked with or under there was a leading expert in PSOM and that doctor said that PSOM is exclusive to Cavaliers. Well, as you can see, Mooby is a french bulldog. I mean, if it's not PSOM, what is it? The neuro seems to believe it's PSOM. I guess we won't really know until they get the stuff out of her ears... just really confusing.
Another question... how likely is it to have to repeat a myringotomy? And how often? Or how long in between?
