These are studio pics?..I can see the softbox reflection in Coco's eyes.
Good call ! The softbox made the photos you have taken.
Brian, these were taken using a D700
Hi
I have to ask otherwise I wont improve so what lens and what setting ,you two might regret making friends cos be warned I will pester you .I can only offer info on The Timber Trade being an Associate Member of The Institute of Wood Science or lately the construction industry and the building of reinforced concrete structures and I could through in our Steve who is an astro physicist for Nasa but neither of us know much about photography but we are willing to help you on our specialised subjects if they are of any use .
Oh how I wish I could have been a professional photographer especially of Dogs what a lovely life.

Fair comment Brian lol.
Here are the settings used
Camera Nikon D700
s/s = 1/250
f/ 16
ISO 200
Focal length 75mm ( I'm guessing it's a prime )
Oooh I must say, I do envy you! What fabulous photos and an adorable pup! I am partial to the name Coco myself
I hope to one day get a professional camera. I have a middle of the line one right now, does not have a removable lense or anything, but one of these days...
Hi Zumie05
A middle of the road camera is just fine, just make sure there is plenty of light. The camera will select a fast shutter speed and you get good pictures..Low light = slow shutter speed and blurry pictures.
Hope that helps.
