Ok DH did some fiddling on my laptop. He pressed buttons and when he pressed "INS" my functions have come back to me. Not sure why that works but I hope that helps anyone else having issues.

Glad it is working! Is anyone else still having problems?

I thought the issues were solved but for some reason it only worked for a little while. Now I am back to the same when posting a new thread or reply without quoting. Has the issue been resolved as far as the owners of all the forums?

I guess I could ask my husband to reinstall windows 7 to see if it works. Not sure if that is my issue, I just bought the computer a few weeks ago.

Eeee. sorry you had to do an entire Windows reinstall! Actually the problem probably could have been resolved by clearing cookies. the cache, etc. I will post suggestions. But have to go find the right thread on the support forum.

Thank you Karlin. I would hate for my husband to have to take everything off and put everything back on...He would not be a happy camper LOL I hope there is an easier solution. I will be awaiting instruction.

Knock on wood that this is now fixed for me! My husband tried everything suggested except uninstalling windows. Nothing worked. It didn't even work on his computer. So then we both tried IE and it worked for both of us. So we knew it was firefox related. So he reverted back to 3.5.6 and it is now working. I would install the new firefox but I do not like the new setup for it. So for the time being I do have my cursor back and I can press enter Crossing all fingers and toes
    Thank you Karlin!
