Dylan is getting his knee operation tomorrow..

We took Dylan to the vet hospital this morning and they decided to keep him in and do the surgery tomorrow. We should be able to pick him up on Thursday. The vet has said that after the operation he will need to be confined to a crate for six weeks

I'm not looking forward to it as I just know he'll hate it. I know it's for the best though so we will just have to persevere. Poor boy

is it for luxating patella ?
mischa had them both done at the same time, it was tough at first following her about so she didnt jump around so we ended up with temporary steps all over the house so she could walk up and down everywhere,( old shoe boxes and the like ! ) our surgeon ( malcom ness ) said it would be a good form of gentle exercise for her, 10 months later you wouldnt think there had ever
been anything wrong, so all the work was worth it, i hope all goes well for you both

Yes it is a luxating patella. He had his surgery this afternoon and everything went well. We are hoping to get him home tomorrow.

Glad the surgery is over. The 6 weeks will be over before you know it too. It will feel so nice to get your boy home tomorrow. Hope you can sleep tonight.
