I took elton to my old vet because new one didn't have opening until mid september. After talking about tail chasing on here and since there is a really good specialist, I wanted to have a consultation. They needed a referral and I had to submit bloodwork.
His vet said first thought was seizures but since he already had a consultation with a neurologist, he said he would write a referral. He said he thought its probably adjusting but if it makes me feel better, he would go ahead and its worth the cost. (I think after me asking for referral to neurologist for ella which he didn't do, he just knows to let me do whatever).
Actually, I got them to express his anal glands and one was compacted. I notice a bit of improvement with the tail chasing and I wonder if that had something to do with it? Anyway, dr. Flannagan speaks and is well respected so it will be good just to see him and talk about things.
Would anal glands have anything to do with tail chasing?
