There is a wonderful event, Paws in the Park http://pawsinthepark.net/index.php on Saturday and Sunday, 17th and 18th September

and our very own Tania will be there with her support team, with her stunning stand offering advice and help, and selling the most amazing range of Cavalier goodies [you can have a sneak preview at some of the available goodies here http://cavalier-gift-shop.org/index.php

It will also be the first chance to see the Cavalier Talk 2012 and Puppy Talk 2012 Calendars!! They will be available from the shop from Monday 19th September. :jump::jump:

Tania had a stand at Bermondsey Street Festival last September and raised a magnificent raised £745! http://www.cavaliertalk.com/forums/s...ighlight=stand

This was followed by Discover Dogs November 2010 where an incredible £1000 was raised!! http://www.cavaliertalk.com/forums/s...=discover+dogs

topped by £1,040 at The London Pet Show - Olympia May 2011 http://www.cavaliertalk.com/forums/s...ighlight=stand

July 2011 a stand at a local Fun Dog Show - in the rain - raised awareness and sold some more goodies!

SO with all this considerable experience and after a HUGE amount of work by Tania sourcing and obtaining goodies, and preparing for the stand, we have high hopes for a big total from Paws in the Park...no pressure there then!

It's not just about raising money though, but raising awareness of the health conditions that sadly our beloved breed suffer from, so that people can go into obtaining a Cavalier armed with the knowledge to try to source a Cavalier from health tested parents and responsible breeders, and are aware of the conditions their companion may suffer with, ensuring that they can then get the veterinary treatment they need.

A very special

to you and all your team, for everything you do.

Anniemac kindly posted this previously and I think it deserves reposting - a poem to volunteers:

"Valuable is the work you do,
Outstanding in how you always come through

Loyal, sincere, and full of good cheer,
Untiring in your efforts throughout the year **

Notable are the contributions you make
Trustworthy in every project you take

Eager to reach your every goal,
Effective in the way you fulfill your role

Ready with a shining smile,
Special and wonderful- that's what you are!"

What will I be doing? Well I understand that on Friday evening I will be putting Christmas cards into cellophane wrappers ready to be sold at PiP on Saturday.
Just hoping that some people will shop early for Christmas.

I had a look at the 'Coming Soon' feature on the internet store & I do think the calendars look very special. I love the puppy photos.
I do hope they both prove to be very popular. Well done Nicki for all the work you put in to compiling them

If you are a forum member in Kent please come along & say hello.
Tania has said that after her experience at the rainy local show she has made sure the CavalierMatters Charity stall is in the covered part of the show, so look for us there.

I went to PiP last year and thoroughly enjoyed it - I would definitely recommend it as a doggy day out to anyone. Unfortunately can't make it this year.

Good luck to Tania and team, and to raising more much needed money and awareness.

I'll be coming to see you saturday afternoon and the terrible twosome will be along for a mooch about too but i have lots and lots of Baking to do for the Sunday so won't be able to stay for Long!!!h

Sadly the weather was really awful yesterday, torrential rain all day, so the show was very quiet. Our wonderful ladies still did very well.

I haven't heard how today went yet, I'm sure they are all completely exhausted as they had to be up very early to get there in time.

Tania will no doubt update as soon as she is able.
