Just a little warning when considering insurance. Check how much they will pay out per condition.

I recently had a phone call from the owner of a cavalier that showed SM symptoms. The dog was referred to a specialist centre and the quote for the full dagnostic scan was £2000.

She was shocked when she was told that her insurance would only pay out £500 per condition.

    I'm with Pet Plan.

The cheapest it has ever been was £18.95 a month which was Rubys puppy year. It went up and up then when i added Charlie it went up to over £70 a month and now 2 years later its over a hundred.......... BUT I am hapy that it is a lifetime policy for both and I have never had a claim refused and the limit is £8000 a year not restricted per condition.

So although its alot it is still less than I pay out in medication every month so can't complain too much!

Got my renewal letter from sainsbury's today for fudge it's nearly doubled to £245 per year despite no claims and fudge still in good health....to be honest i think they're just chancing there arm that i do nothing and just let the policy automatically renew....had a look about this evening and AXA are quoting £202 per year, pet plan are similar...got a really good quote from the green insurance company of £135 that seems to have all and some better benefits than the policy i currently have so will probably go with them , btw fudge is seven and a half years old now.

    Hi

Just quizzed AXA again ,the policy is £7000.00 cover per annum and the figure is
reneawble every year provided you pay the premium, so for Daisy's case we have spent about £2500 this year so we therfore have left £4500 and on the 2 nd Oct when the insurance starts again we are back to £7000 .The figure of £7000 is the total cover and not per condition so your Cavalier will be covered for one at condition at £7000 or seven conditions at £700 provided the maximum payout is £7000 per year .

    That's what I always thought. M & S are the same.
