Hello All,

I'm completely shattered but it was definately worth while and I'm hoping that together with Tania's weekend at Paws in the Park that this weekend has been a very sucessful one for ourr Cavaliers.

The show was much smaller than I imagined with only 6 stalls, Including my own, a Pay on the day Agility course that was run by my agiity club and then the Pay on the day Novelty classes.

I only saw 2 oher Cavaliers the whole day so all things considering I was pleased to be able to raise £130 for Cavalier Matters!

The Dog treats I baked were so popular that I had sold out of all the biscuits by 1pm and the Liver Cakes soon followed and having the treats there really helped sell the Recipe books too!!

Of course I would have loved to have a much bigger total to tell you but considering the lack of Cavvie people there I was pleased to come home with that much to be honest!!!

WOW Karen that's fantastic at such a small show!! You did really well. The stall looks fabulous, thank you so much for doing this.

I think it's a brilliant idea to sell the treats alongside the recipe books, I'm sure that helped sell copies.

I should also add that the weather was reallygreat all day and It was the perfect way to spend Charlies's Gotcha Day- 2 years have really flown by and he did a great job on the demonsration for our agility Club!

Do you know how Tania and the gang got on at Paws in the Park yet?

That is great news! Congratulations on your day out and 130 pounds certainly is nothing to sneeze at!

Well done.
That is a good amount of money considering it was a small show. Every little helps.

Well done Karen, I am really pleased the stuff sold, how did your bakery bits sell? I havn't got a total from Paws in the Park. I was shattered lat night, got home had a hot bath and went straight to bed.
I will post photos and totals later.

Karen, it was lovely meeting you and your gang on Saturday. I'm so glad you did well at your show, your stall looks really inviting. You were obviously up very late Saturday doing all your baking.:) That was a fantastic amount you raised - well done.:rah:

Well done Karen and congratulations to Charlie the Wonder Dog on his Gotcha Day.

Things were quieter at Paws in the Park than when we went to Discover Dogs.
Although we did see all manner of shapes & sizes of cavaliers ( and a couple of sweet cavalier crosses ) the majority of dogs seemed to be larger working dogs.
There were an amazing amount of husky/malamute/eskimo dogs. I had not realised how popular they had become.

It was worthwhile being there as we did deal with a lot of queries........about where to find a puppy, about where to find a stud dog and a great many about the health problems of the cavaliers.

There were some upsetting tales. It is heartbreaking to hear upset owners explaining they are on the minimum wage and just cannot afford the money to take their pet to the specialist recommended by the vet.

Ah thank you everyone - I was really worried that It would be a lot of work for not much gain but I was pleased wth the result and to top it off my wonderful friends at my Agility training club have been very generous and donated half of their takings as well so there is an extra £40 on its way!!!

Thanks for the support everyone and hopefully it will be the first of many stalls I may be able to do in the future!!!

Well done everyone. Karen, the tables are beautiful, and every bit raised is wonderful. Just too bad it couldn't have been more considering all the work you went through.
