Poorly Westie puppy - auction to raise money to help her
Colleen, a very young Westie puppy, was handed in to Friends of the Animals RCT rescue. Sadly she has a grade 6 [of 6 ] heart murmur, as she has a Patent Ductus Arteriosis [this is a condition Cavaliers can suffer from too - one of the blood vessels doesn't close off properly at birth so the circulation is not correct]
She desperately needs an operation, which will cost £2,400
More about her here http://foa-rct.proboards.com/index.c...ay&thread=8425
Without surgery there is a 70% chance that she will die before she is two.
With surgery, there is a 90% chance that she will have a full recovery to go on and lead a normal life.
This is a short video of how fast her little heart is pumping. I think it only runs for 1 minute but if you can count the amount she breathes in that short time, its amazing how well she is coping at the moment.
They are running an auction to raise the money desperately needed to pay for her operation, if anyone can help by supporting the auction, donating an item to auction or even just sending a few pounds, that would be fantastic. Thank you.
