Dog food recall in U.S. and Canada
A number of different brands of dog food are being recalled in the U.S. due to possible salmonella contamination. So far as I know, no dogs have died but about 14 people have been identified as having contracted salmonella through contact with their dogs' food. The manufacturer is Diamond, and the affected plant is in South Carolina. The food made at this plant is distributed largely in the eastern half of the continent; from Canada down to Puerto Rico have received recalled foods.
